So, what do you want to know? Do you want to know that I've been on stage for as long as I can remember (literally with a pretend microphone in hand on my parents' fireplace ledge at age 4)? Do you want to know that I'm trained as a second soprano and also studied jazz with the amazing baritone from Rare Silk, Todd Buffa, and had the joy of studying guitar with Grammy winner Tom Wasinger (who also mixed this latest disk). Do you want to know that I sang a cappella for years, all through college at Carleton and then with Boulder-based IRIS thereafter, with many a fun tour including a stretch into the Southwest culminating in the Kerrville Folk Festival? There have been duos and band gigs and pick-up stuff with various musicians, and now I'm here, in Choosing June. I hope you enjoy listening to our music even half as much as I have enjoyed creating it with Joan. Then again, maybe you just want to know my favorite dessert. Cherry pie. Hands down.

I've been songwriting for over 25 years, and singing forever. I started out in New England coffee houses, suffering many misadventures, and major nerves. I considered performing the equivalent of the Black Hole of Death. Once in Harvard Square, a drunken woman clambered on stage with me to sing backup. Then there was the time I gave a children's concert---I have recorded two Children's CD's---. One of the kids climbed on top of my speaker and rocked happily back and forth for an entire song. Thankfully, my gigs have calmed down over the years, and I'm having a blast now. As to dessert; anything chocolate works for me.
